Arlington house - Ilford, Essex
Arlington House is a 6-bedded Residential home catering for adults 18 – 40 years of age with an Autistic Spectrum condition. (Please refer to details on homepage ‘Our Homes” for more information)
As part of our care team you will be providing support to Adults 18 – 40 years of age with Autistic Spectrum Condition and significantly challenging behaviours. You will be assisting with day to day care needs, promoting independent living skills and providing a fun and safe environment. You will need to be a team player who is patient and committed to our residents, with a genuine desire to help others.
To primarily work in the Residential Home providing guidance, support and engagement to the residents in a variety of setting including on site and during off site activities. To contribute to the development of the residents through the provision of a healthy lifestyle, a variety of appropriate stimulating activates and the example of a consistent and caring adult role model. To support the residents towards managing their own behaviours and becoming as independent as possible within their own capabilities by using the skills and approved approaches learnt during the training provided.
To assist the residents with all person care needs as outlined in their individual care plan; eating, bathing, toileting, cleaning teeth, dressing etc. To make sure all care plans, reports writing and communication is kept up to date. To make sure all medical i.e. GP, dentist, opticians appointments are kept and to escort the residents to these appointments if needed.
Hours - Hours are worked on a shift rota and include weekends, with an average of 38 hours per working week.
Early shift: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Late shift: 2:00pm – 10pm
(Night shift wake in 9:30pm – 7:30am) (Night sleep in 10:00pm – 8:00am)
